We are a spiritual family that follows the Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17) and shuns all man made creeds (Mark 7:5-8). We view the Bible as the only source of authority for what we teach (2 Timothy 3:16) and how we worship (John 4:24; 17:17). It is not our contention that we are perfect (Romans 3:23), but that God has a right to expect us to seek out His will and obey it (Matthew 7:7-8 & 21).
It is for all the above reasons that you will find that in our assemblies we limit our worship of God to the following expressions:
- Prayer - (Acts 2:42; 1 Thessalonians 5:17)
- Singing - (Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16)
- Communion - (Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29)
- Teaching - (Acts 2:42; Acts 20:7; 2 Timothy 4:2)
- Collection - (1 Corinthians 16:1-2)
We strive to do as the apostle Paul says in Colossians 3:16-17 -- "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him." (KJV)
